For more than fifteen years Dr Young has been advising organisations including the Museum of London and Glasgow’s Hunterian Museum on how best to use social media and digital storytelling to engage with their audiences. Prior to running her own consultancy, she worked with the universities of Glasgow, Manchester and Warwick. She has also worked in the private sector advising business owners how to use social media more effectively.

Hilary will work with 448 Studio as the company’s Academic Programme Lead, hosting social media workshops, running academic support programmes and working with 448 Studio clients such as LSE, the University of Glasgow, Lancaster University, Leeds University and others.

Dr Young said: “I aim to use my varied experience working in cultural heritage and academia to help 448 Studio’s partners bring their social media and digital projects to life. So many organisations can create real excitement about what they are doing by using simple, well thought out messaging on social media.”

448 Studio founder and CEO Dan Marrable said: “I have worked alongside Hilary in the past and she has a real genius for taking the mystery and jargon out of social media. Some of her campaigns and strategies, especially for the Museum of London during the 2012 Olympics, have been truly ground-breaking. We are so excited to have Hilary join our team and know she will add massive value to our growing list of clients.”
