August blew by didn't it?

And just like that we're into a new month. September for some reason always feels like a fresh start, almost like a mini January 1st without the hangover. The weather starts to get a bit cooler, kids start going back to school (well most of them anyways), and you start to see the hint of leaves changing. Summer 'stay'cations are all finished up and people are feeling productive again.

Remember how I said I wanted to take some time off in August? Well that didn't technically happen. August was actually one of our busiest months in regards to planning and gearing up for the for the end of the year. Here's what happened.

We have a new website!

We secretly made our new 448 Studio website live on the 31st of August. We wanted to ensure it reflected all the new services and offerings. It also includes a global forum for researchers and academics. Plus it's nice to shake things up a bit.

Bare with us if it's a bit glitchy here and there, it usually takes about a month to iron these things out. We welcome any feedback too.

Lancaster Work in Progress - Kickstarter Programme

The Kickstarter Programme run by the Work in Progress (WIP) team out of Lancaster University is a weeklong series of workshops for new businesses and ideas. Part of their offering to businesses was a full day with 'yours truly' to go through the best ways to create content on social media. We had a brilliant day, and it just goes to show that you can still host full day intensive workshops with lots of interaction over Zoom. I stayed on for the next day as well to hear their two minute pitches and it was amazing to see the progress each and every one of the attendees made just over the course of a week.

The WIP team are hosting me again for a two day social media 'bootcamp' for businesses in the Lancashire area on the 24th and 26th of September. If you want to be a part of it you can sign up here.

Laura is an official 448 Studio Employee

The titles says it all. I'm so proud to announce that Laura is now an official employee of 448 Studio. She has done absolutely amazing work as a consultant over the past year, and we're finally in a position to be able to bring her on as an employee of 448 Studio. I guess I need to get her business cards or something?

Online event support

Following on the success of All Day All Night we're excited to say that live streaming event and conference support is now available through 448 Studio. Everything from planning an event and social media promotion all the way to a bespoke branded live streaming platform. If you have an event or conference coming up and need some help get in touch. You can find all the ins and outs of what we offer here.

Academic support packages

This something we've been developing over the past 6 months and we're at a point that we can now offer specific social media content creation and planning support for academics. There are three options to choose from:

Content Planner - Plan content with our social media content calendar developed specifically for research trends.

Content Creator - A content calendar created just for you with additional support from the 448 Studio team throughout the year.

Custom - We'll work with your team or research group to customise a programme that fits your objectives.

One of the aspects of theses packages that excites me the most is our member's only forum. This is a space where you can connect with academics around the world. When working at universities we found the best way to learn is from your own peers. This forum gives academics and researchers the opportunity to network and share knowledge on a global scale.

Have a read through what we offer including three case studies here.

Finalised date for ADAN21 - 16 - 17 June 2021

We're already into planning next year's All Day All Night (ADAN21) 24 hour conference. Updating our colour scheme is only the beginning. We'll be selling 'early early-bird' tickets by mid-September so keep your eyes peeled. For updates follow us on Twitter: @adanconf

And that's all for August - bring on September! Dan
